On the train this morning to San Luis Obispo. The fog was incredibly thick and the business class car was unlike any other we've been on. Still it was quiet with lots of room and we were served coffee and pastries.
An hour and a half later we were brought a goodie bag with chips, peanuts, cookies, etc. and were offered water, coffee, soda or wine.
A lovely relaxing trip. Once we arrived we had to walk 1.3 miles to the hotel. It was very warm - 80 degrees! The hotel is very cute with all kinds of unusual amenities in the room. I can understand the top notch ratings it has.
Once we checked in we went to the Apple Farm Restaurant next door and had a fabulous lunch. Then we walked down the street and stopped at the Monday Club of San Luis Obispo for a tour of the building. See themondayclubslo.org.
A walk around the downtown along the river and then dinner at Luna Red topped off a great day.
