Saturday

Had a nice lie-in and then headed north.

Our first stop was Buellton where we had a short walk around

A patriotic site with children saluting the flag

and then we were off to Solvang with a walk around and lunch.

Lovely European flavor

Solvang

A visit to the Chumash Casino was interesting.   First,  because of all the construction going on (not sure what is happening there) and then for the number of people there.   Over the years that we've gone there it's always been so dead quiet but today was quite crowded.   As usual in casinos,  no-one looks happy; makes you wonder why they were all there. Of course, no cameras are permitted.

Our final stop of the day was at the Santa Ynez Airport.

So neat to be able to walk on the tarmac close to the airplanes!
